Hello, Does anyone know if someone is reproducing the Edison Diamond Disc sleeves. You always have too many records and not enough protective sleeves!! thanks Pete

Someone may be as I have seen DDs offered on eBay with purported reproduction sleeves but I haven't been able to get the source. These also may be one offs (ie photo copies) to sell the records.

There was someone here in Australia that had about 10,000 sleeves printed up, & I believe quite a few made it to USA. This was about 30 years ago though, when even electric DD's weren't worth anymore than $5, and the cost of having them made was high & demand was low, so after the first batch, no more were made. They are printed on the same type & quality paper as the originals. I have no idea if anyone in USA was/is making these, but all the Aussie covers have the "Re-Creation" title on the front, & the "Piano Notes" blurb on the back as pictured below. I've had these for over 25 yrs, so they dont look as crisp as when I got them, but they are excellent repro's & I wish I had got more.

A while back I saw someone on ebay advertising reproduction sleeves or sale. I don't know if he found some of those your mentioning or if they were new ones available but haven't seen it lately. They were quite expensive I thought.
I like the yellow or green sleeves that are available new but have lost the source I got them from as well. If you google sleeves they will come up but don't know the quality of them.

:oI had NO idea that there were repro Diamond Disc sleeves!! Maybe the "Greetings" or the "National Aires" sleeves, but not the generic brown paper types. Anyways, it seems phonograph.org is sold out of the repros. No center holes cut out, so I guess that's to confirm their "authenticity". Cool pic of the ol' man on the back too.
