I have an Edison C-150 phonograph that has a record index in the record storage compartment. The tag on the index is Eject-O-File. It contains 35 records with a wooden tab that, when pressed, allows the record to roll out so you can grab it. Does anyone know the history of the Eject-O-file. I can't find anything about it. Was this an option from the factory or something that was added along the way? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

There were several companies manufacturing various record storage & retrieval mechanisms; among them was the Eject-O-File. Since the C-150 came from the factory with simple wire dividers, it was a good candidate for one of these after-market accessory files. The original owner probably added it shortly after purchase.
An accessory such as this adds interest to your machine.
