Hi Everyone,
Working on a "late" Model A Home (without the fancy banner decal) and all the work is finished except attaching the chassis to the plate. The machine I have did not come with these two bolts and I'm having a really hard time finding these (as well as other parts that belong to this particular assembly). What's also confusing are the 4 holes on the motor plate where the 4 corners of the chassis would sit, what's supposed to go here? Is it like how the Triumph A upper works look like? Any help or detailed photos of your complete Home A would be greatly appreciated!
Sam

Hi Sam, Those 4 holes were for rubber grommets that were meant to reduce motor noise from being transmitted through that upper frame and into the horn. The very early ones had thick felt pads instead of those grommets and no holes for the plug on the grommet that fit into them. I will take some photos of a HOME A later tonight or tomorrow that show the felt pads at the 4 corners of the upper carriage. As far as the 2 bolts, nuts, and washers, you can probably get them from one of the vendors below. I have never seen a HOME A without the banner transfer, as it was used up till 1906 when replaced by the Edison "script" transfer and by then the B had replaced the A (1905).
