Now, This is a perfect example of what I was talking about on the other board regarding the foolish prices ppl are paying for items on Ebay. I happen to own this record, It's funny, but not that funny and not this rare, pricewise, either! This is the reason you don't find this stuff at local flea markets or co-op shops any more. And if you do, the chump that owns the booth saw what this went for on Ebay and has priced it thus. Bill cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280067790193&ssPageName=ADME:L:DBS:US:11

This is outrageous, but the more disturbing trend in my view is that more and more 51000 series dance band DDs on Ebay are now in the $10 to $30 range. And most of these records are very common. This is not exactly a source of joy for someone like myself who is trying to build up a collection of great dance tunes. ;D Rocky

When once you could buy the 51000 series dance DDs for a couple of $$, are now hitting 20.00 and up, and if they have artists like Golden Gate, B.A, Rolfe etc. it's worse! I seldom find records (or machines) any more at flea markets or co-op shops. I think a lot of people have "wised up" and are now putting a lot of this on Ebay. They can reach a larger audience and get quicker results (and generally more $$$$) than if they rented a booth and let the stuff languish there for months. Bill

When I first started DD's were 30 to fifty cents, it took me five years to get used to the new higher prices of $5 for an average record. This record looks excellent, but my 2 dark knight record in the same condition was around $30 on eBay and I thought that was high two years ago.

I was just browseing through ebay, looking at DD's, and noticed a lot of sellers are just listing one disc, instead of a group. Also some of the prices are a little higher, then what I paid for most of my discs. Even some of the Elecrically reorded discs, are now reaching in excess of $40.00. Of course I would never pay this much for one, maybe a bunch of them.
Incedently, the person who paid $320.98 for a disc is out of their mind.
However, I did spend $71.00 for 13 discs, from an antique mall.
