A friend is trying to restore an Edison Amberola 30 and needs a source for a handcrank spring, and two horn springs. Alternatively, if he could get a picture of the springs and their placement, he might be able to fashion them. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Horn Springs can run from anywhere to $15 to $45 on ebay, The machine only uses one horn spring. It hooks onto the bottom brass catch underneath the bedplate and hooks onto a hook on the horn....and a mainspring is usually about $65-$75.. Have fun! ) Tony K.

By "handcrank spring", do you mean the mainspring, or the coil spring on the winding gear?
