I can't say I'm surprised...... "Yes Sir, that's my baby" by the Georgia Melodians (51588) sold for $68.89. What is amazing is that their records frequently go for exorbitant sums, over and over again, despite the fact that they are very common. Im not surprised either. Great band- great tunes-Acoustics don't come much better than this.
I would have loved to have seen all of "George White's Scandals" Some really good stuff came out of those shows!

Thanks, Bill. While I do have the Georgia Melodians CD (and the two GM LPs), I much prefer the sound of their music played on vintage machines. The songs on the CD were obviously played on modern equipment. I guess I'm picky!
Also, while I love their 1924 recordings, their 1926 recordings do very little for me.
