It would be really great if this board had more postings. I think it may draw more people to join, and not to mention there seems to be quite a bit less dissension here!
I'll try and do my part!!!

Bill,
Yes I agree whole-heartedly. I'd like to see a few more of the good folks we all know jump in here as well.
Regards, J.

I stop here on a daily basis, but there is hardly any people on here. I see more on the OTVMMB, then I do on here.
I'll try and post more, but I don't usually have much to say.

Yes, there are no problems here on this Board. There's no fighting and no friction due to differences in politics or personal philosophy. Just a healthy interest in good ol' TAE and his beautful machines and music.
I will mention the existence of this Board on the OTVMMB to see if we can get a few Edison people to come and visit.

I have found, that I really do like the Edison machines, and there is some really good music, for them. I think they are, really unique looking machines. That's one of the reasons why I bought the the player I have, instead of a Victrola. Not that, there is anything worng with Victrola's there are some nice Victrolas out there. However, my preference will always be to the Edsion's frist, since that is what got me interested and started in this hobby.
I am still in the hope's of finding a nice Amberol Player, prefferably a floor model.

The other board (OTVMMB) started about 10 years ago on www.besmark.com and that may be why it has a larger crowd. Here are the very first posts... web.archive.org/web/19970703232627/www.besmark.com/wwwboard/wwwboard.htmlThe current version of the board started in April 2004 after major spam attacks and Dan G. offering to man the helm. As for needing something to say... don't worry about it. Most of the topics have been talked to death on the various phonograph related boards on the web. But when a topic suites you there will be plenty to post about. It goes in waves. Not to worry, these old guys love to talk!

We're starting to see some more action here now - great! Thanks for the ad over on the OTVMMB Rocky!
I am looking forward to this summer, when I'll finally have some time to enjoy the recordings I've been buying. Work has me very busy lately.

I'm still here - not to worry. I've unfortunately had no time to do anything phonographic over the last few months - hoping that this coming summer will bring some free time, as I have a few projects here that I'd like to complete.
The dog shall never bark on this board - not to worry.

I almost started a thread, like this one, but Bill beat me to it. I was becoming a little discouraged, everytime I stoped on here. I would say to myeslf "I know there are fans of Edison Phonographs, but where are they all?" I thought everyone was either too busy, or were spending more time on the OTVMMB, or doing other things. It's no fun, when I'm the only person on here. The most people I have seen on here, is three. Please don't let me be the only Edsion fan on here?
