Matt, I was hoping Larry would, but I'll give it a start even though it's way over my head!
Shane, Yes, that's his pattern, when he feels he's gone too far, maybe when he figures x number of people have jumped on him or maybe Dan tells him to back down, I don't know, but he will start a thread phono related and at least mildly interesting. I can only assume it's because of his last conniption that Larry's thread is as yest unscathed.
Regards, J.

I'll try and do the same Paul. As you can see, it doesn't take long for a topic to drift into another topic, with little bits of the original topic showing up now and then, but I guess when you post a topic about topics going off topic, you expect the topic to go off topic at some point- geesh- I think I'm drunk...but that's another topic I think I'll go now, before Matt bans my IP Addy ;D

Never mind Matt. I'm watching!! You two trouble makers! ............ ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I have decided to be the self-appointed unofficial totally biased topic-keeper of this thread! ;D (All the other threads are on their own, I've got enough to do with this one! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D) Now what were we talking about? Regards, J.

It's a way to either give someone a slap on the wrist, or a slap on the back.

Bill, Yup, that thread is now toast. You can forget about anything constructive going on in it now. Regards, J.

Probably my fault for not ignoring him, but you can only take so much of his repeated dribble. I notice Dan deleted my "elvis" posts the other day, but the fool quoted them, so they're still there anyway.

This is the first time I actually read this to its current end. And after being around a bit now I am starting to see the undercurrents here. I did make the comment to the other group recently that the nonsense that they sometimes revel in was not something that I found encouraging.. I was surprised by the number of people who felt that all that bickering was just fine! It seemed to reach a new peak yesterday and I too question why the moderator allows such petty back and forths to go on. Not exactly what I would call an informative format that attracts collectors. As someone mentioned, if it were T.V. I would turn it off in a second. A good debate is one thing, but name calling and childish go ya antics degrades the quality and fun of our collections to outsiders who may drop by. Would you want to be a part of that group? I moderate several other groups and if necessary wouldn't have a bit of trouble deleting offensive comments throw in for the sake of causing trouble. Fortunately that rarely if ever happens..
