Hi
Does anyone know if the Amberola 75 cabinets originally had drawer stops to prevent pulling the cylinder drawer completely out?
My 75 does not, but seems like that would have been desireable.
Thanks.

John,
The 75 that I had years ago didn't have any. They were just trays that slid out and others that I have seen were also devoid of any as well. I believe one of our members has recently acquired one. What say you Rocky??

John and Bill,
There are no drawer stops in my '75--the drawers can be removed. I see no evidence that there ever were drawer stops in the machine.

Thanks, Bill and Rocky.
I bet more than one of these has ended up on the floor. When you have a full drawer with 30 cylinders, you have to pull it out almost to the edge to see the titles in the back.
Not sure how you would fabricate a stop--I'll have to look at it.
Thanks again.

John,
If you are intent on putting some in, one type of stay that was found in cylinder cabinets was rather simple but effective. It swiveled up wards when putting the drawer in and had a hook that caught the back board of the drawer to prevent it from being pulled all the way out. The ones I have on my cabinets are metal and I will try and get a good shot of one and post it here for you.

John, Here is a photo of a drawer stop on one of my cylinder cabinets. If you need more, let me know. Bill

Interesting, Bill. Where might I find some of these? Thanks.

John,
I don't know of anyone reproducing these but perhaps another member might know of one?
