The info I posted is also on page 196, and there's a picture of your cabinet (with vertical slots) in walnut. The information you posted is first on the page & marked no.3, and the info about the "Edison Re-Creation filing cabinet" is marked no.4. It says- The Edison Re-Creation Filing Cabinet in walnut with two shelves holding 160 records all together is believed to date from 1916 to 1922. No makers mark can be identified though the pull-knobs with sunburst pattern are found on the C200 Adam machine. Height 37 3/8" Length 37 7/8" Depth 13 1/2". At least 752 were reported built.
I'm not sure if that means 752 in walnut, or all finishes?

Thanks for the information Shane but I don't see the information you are talking about in my book. The book I have was first published in 1982, guess there is an updated book that I do not have, is that correct?
The cabinet is 37 1/2 ins. high, 39 3/8 ins. long and 14 1/4 ins. wide.

You'll need the "Newly Revised & Enlarged" edition.

Is that the soft cover edition that is currently being offered?

Yes, that's the one Bill. ISBN 0-9606466-3-4 is the number in mine, although I don't know if older editions share the same number??

Thanks Shane. I've seen it around but never realized it was an updated edition! Unfortunately, due to George's passing, there won't be any others unless someone picks up the torch.
