I've bought a few radios bt the interest is low as compared with my interest in phonos. There is no comparison.

Paul,
These are interesting observations. The reason you see so many unsold Homes/Standards etc is that, like you said, they are overpriced. The market is oversaturated with the common stuff. Hundreds of thousands were made, several thousand of each are probably still in circulation. There are only so many collectors who want these models.
Take a Class M, Idelia, Polyphone, Bettini, Auxetophone, Vic XX, etc. Collectors still regularly pay $10K and into the $20K - 40K range for single machines even in this economy. It's simply supply and demand.
You are right, the dealers SHOULD lower their prices but they are out of touch. They aren't experts and want the big payday (which I doubt they will get).

Hey Luke,
Can you provide a summary of the show? How were sales? Any exciting machines? I heard there was a Triumph under glass (cabinet). Any idea what was being asked and whether it sold?
Thanks, Scott

I know it's a longshot but I gotta ask: I am looking for H&S cabinet keys for my cabinets. If you have one for sale I'm interested. I would even be happy getting pictures of your keys if not for sale.
Your help is appreciated. Scott

Hi Pete,
I forwarded your request to Mr Triumph. I would be surprised if he doesn't have one. Will let you know.

Do you know if Wizard is also offering 4 minute records?
What do the 4 minute cylinders cost?

Hi George,
I think you do understand my question (and ignorance). This is the only Banner Concert I have ever owned and unfortunately there are two different sized weights on this motor and regulation is poor. I want to replace the wrong sized weights. I have other machines with Triton motors so I will look at those.
I guess what I should have asked was "is the Banner Concert motor identical to the other Triton motors".
I still find it odd that somebody would have installed different weights. Obviously they didn't play this machine often because it doesn't regulate well!
Thanks George!

You guys provided so much back bracket information I would guess you have answers to my next question too!
I am looking for governor weight dimensions (including mounting hardware) for an Edison Concert (banner). Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link. I didn't get to adding the back brackets this weekend so this gives me a chance to review Dwayne's document.

George/Bill,
Do the specs given apply to Edison Standard only? I would also like to add a cygnet bracket to a Triumph model "D" as well.
Since the cygnet horn dimension is constant the only other variable is the distance from the bedplate to the top of the reproducer. Guess a simple measurement could answer this question too......
Thanks again, Scott

Thanks to you both.
I can't believe I have never done this before. Hopefully I will be an expert after the weekend!

Hello all.
I want to add a cygnet horn/crane to an Edison Standard "D". Since this is original cabinet finish I don't want to make a mistake.
Obviously there is the need to center the crane on the mandrel. What about it's vertical position? Is this critical?
Thanks, Scott
