Bill is right, milk crates might not look pretty, but what great functionality! Plus, you can stack them for the most efficient means...I have them stacked right up to the ceiling in the basement, full of 78s and DDs, that is.... Sean

If I remember correctly, doesn't Matt (our moderator) sell reproduction DD albums- or is it just the dividers? No doubt they'd be more expensive than milk crates, but they'd be a whole lot prettier too. They could be worthwhile if you have limited space, and family members who don't appreciate having milk crates in the lounge room. I know what it's like to be told "Your not keeping THOSE in HERE are you". Maybe Matt could tell us a bit more about them?

You could get lucky, and find something like this oneday too. This ones only a cheap pine & tasmanian oak australian made cabinet, but it was probably the best $10 I ever spent. I only wish I could pick up another one! I added the Edison decal when I first got it, but I'll do the cabinet up oneday minus the decal.

Shane reminded me of something else...
Paul, if you ever get to estate auctions or even antique places, I guess, look out for a server (or sideboard, some call them). I bought one in Walnut at an auction for $25 from the 1920s, it's the perfect height for 10 inch discs and will hold several hundred regular 78s, probably 150 Diamond Discs. These are nice because the doors close and hide the records, so when they're closed you are looking at a nice piece of furniture! Remember, they were built to hold sets of dishes, too, so they can stand the weight of records. I use my server now to house all my audio components.
