BTW: I know this is off topic, but it's about my avitar. I was hoping to find Opus the Penguin, but instead settled for the Lenix one.

Paul, Is this the spring that you are referring to? This spring is attached to that brass collar ( for adjustment) and is for putting tension on the Reproducer in the up position. This is a critical area to be greased (the flat milled area that the spring pushes against) for smoothness of swing. Bill

Thank you Bill.
Yes, that's the srping that I need. I accidently snaped mine, I did not realize how weak it was. Not only that, I kept setting my too high on the rod, so that may have contributed to the breakage. Once I can find this part, I am hoping to get my machine back together. The hard part id geting everything to line up, so that the flat metal peice, under the lift handle, hits the turntable brake. Aslo, so the whole thing is balanced.

Hey Luke, Marcel from the OTVMMB, was able to help me get my DD player working again. Once he told me how to readjust the bottom pin, that goes into the cabinet, and how to adjust the comb, so it's not scrapeing any more. I still need to to a little more adjusting, but I am happy that I got it all to work, and play properly.
