I have an Edison Triumph model A with 2/4 minute gearing. Does anyone have any tips on adjustments to remove pitch wobble from playback? The problem is particularly obvious on instrumental tracks. I have refitted the belt and have a new stylus on my diamond b reproducer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You might also consider the governor itself: whether the springs and weights are properly balanced; whether there is any wear to the governor bearings or pins; whether there might be any slight warpage in the disc, etc....

Thanks, I shall try to look at that. Certainly some of the cylinders are a bit warped, but my Fireside plays them well so I think the problem must be with the Triumph. Tom

I would certainly check the governor. I've found that Triumph governors are particulalry unforgiving, if some reason you have turned or moved the pivot pins. It is just trial and error to get everything back in alignment but it is very satisfying when you eventually do so.
