Hi; I have been reading up on my A-100 and I am still curious on a couple things. One being when I remove the turntable and attempt to oil the spots, the cup opening is an obvious spot and the other oil hole is also, but the third spot which says oil has no obvious hole to oil. Also I know I have a single spring motor which is supposed to be greased. Is this something I can do myself with proper instructions? Oh yeah, one more thing. What is that wooden track-looking thing located on the left inside? Thanks in advance for any help. Mike

Hello Bill, Thanks for the response. The track looking thing is in the 1st pic on the left of the horn, and in the 3rd picture,The oil spot I can't figure out is the word oil just to the right of the spindle that holds the turntable. Mike Attachments:

Just checked my C-250: the 'Oil' notice you mention has an arrow pointing toward the spindle itself.
The wooden part inside the cabinet is a cradle used to hold the reproducer when the phonograph was being shipped.

Thanks Bill for the timely response.I appreciate your help. One more thing, and I promise I won't be a pain again with all the questions.I noticed that there is a large screw on the spring casing. Can I take that off and grease the spring by adding some grease through that hole? Mike

Yes, you can.
It's generally considered best to remove, clean, and re-grease the mainspring. However, DD springs are rather tough to work with (ask anyone who's had to handle them): but if it is already running smoothly, without thumping, you can get away with winding the spring up, squeezing some moly or lithium grease into the barrel, and replacing the screw. You can then let the motor run down, wind it up again, and repeat a few times, to let the new grease get distributed around.
