Hi, Forum members. I live in Australia, so I have a number of Australian recordings. My Grand Father passed away about 10 years ago. I was given his Edison Fireside phonograph and his cylinder collection. I had good intentions of fixing the phonograph and playing some of the old cylinders. However I have never got around to restoring the Phono. I now think it is time for someone else to have this collection. I want to sell the collection for a fair price. ( that would be what someone will pay) I do not want to over price or under price this little collection. So here we go!. I dont know how good a condition the cylinders are, but visually they mostly seem clean with no scratches. Except 1 which is broken. The phono is another story. The box is good but it was at one stage electrified, and the horn was thrown away, by non nostalgic family members. I have attached the list of cyclinders. 1; Are any of them special ? 2; or are they all just mass produced.? I have read somewhere that Christmas cylinders fetch good prices. Can anyone enlighten me on this collection. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Regards Andrew Edison cylinders.xlsx (14.68 KB) Edison cylinders.pdf (165.6 KB)

The one Christmas cylinder has some value. The others are all standard titles, though, some not to the USA. The Christmas cylinder was also a standard, but, not as popular. The phonograph sounds like a parts machine. Need photos of cylindrs, and, of machine to be able to give a good idea on value. But, With horn missing, and, motor electrified, that isn't good news. I might be interested, but, without pics. I can't make a determination. Bill Cahill
