I noticed that some of my DD's have Edison Re-Creation, while others say Record. When did Edison Swtich from Recreation to Record, and why?

"Edison Re-Creations" was used starting in June 1921 on the black paper labels with white lettering. In Oct 1922 the name was changed to "Edison Record." I don't know the reason for the change but perhaps someone here does.

Around 1918, "recreations" also replaced the word "record" on the black etched label record COVERS, but not on the records themselves. Like Bill says, recreations didn't appear on the records until the first paper label came out in June 1921.
