Hi, All! I ran across this site when looking for information about my Edison Hepplewhite H19 phonograph. I picked it up at a local junk shop about 18 years ago. Love it! It came with 28 Diamond Discs and played well. Recently, I was winding it up--I didn't think too tightly--and the spring or something broke. I'm looking for someone knowledgeable in the Kansas/Missouri area who replaces springs. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Don't know about the KA/MO area; but there are several good suppliers/restorers in the "Resources" section of the board. You could also check out the "Links" section of the Talking Machine Forum.
Your best course is to remove the spring barrel, and send it off for a new spring. You'll usually get the barrel back with the new spring installed and lubricated, for a reasonable price.
