Hi- my husband and I just purchased an LC 38. It’s in good shape, but was missing the lid prop (or lid stand). We ordered a new one, but are a little puzzled about how to properly put it on. Any instructions or photos would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

I believe the lid stays for most of the Edison Disc Phonographs were pretty much standardized. I can check my BC-34, and get back to you later.

I took a brief look at my BC-34.
Do you have the slotted receptacle inside the cabinet, into which the lid stay fits? You will probably have to unscrew that, place the lower end of the stay inside, and then screw it back in. Then you can screw the upper end into the lid.
If you don't have the receptacle, you can probably get one from where you got the lid stay.
If you can take some photos, that would help: I have a post on adding photos on this board.

Thanks so much. In order to attach a photo, I had to begin a new thread. Please see photo there.
