My Dad is almost 91 yrs old. He wants me to find out about his Edison. He also has over 100 of the records that go with it. The player is a cabinet which holds records behind the front doors of the cabinet. The numbers I got off it is BC-34 39164 Panteted dates on it are: Nov 17,1903 Jan 30,1906 Feb 4, 1908 March 11,1913 Sept 15,1914 May 23,1916. Can anyone tell me what it is worth. He still plays it. It has a hand crank on the side of it.

Hi: the BC-34 "Baby Console" was introduced in early 1922. It was a fairly popular and relatively inexpensive model; and as such, does not command a very high price in today's market.
I paid about $100 for mine, some years ago, including the records; but it was not in very good condition. Also, consoles are something of a hard sell, as they take up a lot of floor space.
I cannot give a hard and fast answer on value, unfortunately. The common answer is, "whatever a buyer is willing to pay for it".
The best of health to your father!

It's in mint condition. One that needs completely restored sells for $750

Don't mistake asking prices for value. I've seen nice BC-34 machines linger on eBay for $199 without a sale for many months. More power to you if you can sell it for more, but I have pretty much accepted that I will keep mine forever, because I don't want to just give it away. Try a search for SOLD prices on eBay to get a better feeling for value.
