Ummmm....
Hate to break it to you and your friend, but this is what is known, in the collectors' community, as a "Frankenphone": a piece cobbled together out of miscellaneous parts.
The name plate obviously comes from an off-brand machine of the late '20s, as the "Exponential Horn System" legend shows. These rather crude "stereo" horns are anything but "exponential".
Your friend might get a few bucks for parts, if they're decent quality and in good condition; but otherwise, it's not worth anything.
