Hi all! I got a copy of an Edison catalogue today, and notice that there a 2 different sized tin cygnet horns listed-the No.10 & No.11. Did both these horns share the same size goose neck, having just different flares attached, or are the 2 completely different sizes altogether?
I also notice the book lists the Home straight horn as an 11 panel horn- mine has 12. Does that mean mine is infact a Triumph horn?

Shane,
The goose-necks for both the 10 & 11 panel horns were the same size. The HOME was equipped with an 11 panel straight horn and the larger TRIUMPH, IDELIA, etc were supplied with a 12 panel straight horn, however cygnets for those were 11 panel. I'm guessing there is no identifying decal on the top panel of the horn.

No Bill. It's had about 20 coats of paint that I'm in the process of removing. I was hoping I might find the remains of a decal, but no luck so far. I haven't come across a solder mark were the spring attached to the horn either, but I'm only half way through it as yet.

Hi Shane,
Someone made my straight 12 panel Triumph horn into a cygnet, so I know the straight Triumph horns have 12 panels. The straight home horns are smaller and I believe they were the same size as the standard, but I am not sure.
