I am a "new" poster but an old collector of both radios and Phones since i am on the west cost i am curious as yo how often the sets show up on the east cost vs here? i have a C-2,C-4,R-5,R-7 and like many would like a C-1 even if it was some what "UN affordable" currently the radios of the late 20's are less in demand than when i started collecting in the 70's. how many C-1 are out there now? thanks Don Pettee

I had a chance to see one of the C-1s less than a week ago near Philadelphia. It was in very nice conditon. The collector said he thought there were very few made, mostly for dealers pressured to display one. Compared to the C2 (which I have) they seem very inconvenient to use. You have to stoop to handle any records. Perhaps by the time these came out people weren't doing much record-playing and the radio was the main attraction. Bob

I saved my C-2 just as it was headed to the dump quite literally on a hand cart going to the curb !!! There is a C-1 in a desk style cabinet that i used to own (and foolishly got rid of years ago) it is beautifully made....but a bit plain nice to hear of a few C-1 sets out there Don
