I don't own an I-Pod, becuse I do not feel the need to be plugged in, and take my music with me. Sure it's a good idea, and many people love the fact, that, they can take their music with them. I prefer listeing to, music on a good home stereo system, or live. Besides, I could not come up with 5000 songs to download. Let alone spend the time downloading music. I grew up listening to music, on viynl, on a decent stereo system. Back when truntables were well built, and tunners still had tubes. Although, I did eventually get into CD's, once the players became more affordable. I thought the digital quality was good.
Over the years, they have improved digital recording and made easier for people to play, and record music, more clearly and without a lot of noise and static. But I think there is a limit to what should be played on a digital system. That's just me.
