I was thrilled to find the "Cylinder preservation and digitzation project" from the University of California, which allows you to search by song name, singer, or even Edison cylinder number. cylinders.library.ucsb.edu/search.phpfor those of you who aren't familiar with it. It is a great help to see if you like a song before buying it. My question, is if there is anything like this for Edison diamond dics also?

No. Unfortunately not as vast as this site and even they are limited to what is donated and the quality of the cylinder. Bill

Ok, its a great idea.. I must admit as usual to my lack of knowledge of how computer sites work.. I looked up American Symphony Orchestra cylinders and selected one I hadn't heard of. It brought it up in the search, but I don't see any way to "hear" it? Any suggestions?

Larry,
When you call up a list for example you should see a number in front of each selection, click on it-it's a link to the sound files.
