I see what you mean concerning the size & weight of the machine, not only that but I think that the base cabinet completes the look. The table top models, such as my Victor VV-VIII and Amberola 50 do take up quite a bit of space. Unlike your B-19, it's too bad that there doesn't seem to be a matching base for the VV-VIII model.

Bill - you have been most helpful - thanks - Im meerly thinking maybe no one else seems to be too interested in my serial number and b-19 info I want for a little database - Maybe someone else has a database or something - I just wanted to collect some data from members who have b-19's - havent had any hits - and one guy over on the other thread kind of gave me the impression that it wouldnt accomplish much. - But your info has been most helpful - by the way my bed plate has bosses but no holes or threads - I was asking because I saw several machines in the past few days with the bosses and holes. thanks again

Sharon, I have seen nice oak bases made for the VIII, one even has the bowed out sides on either side of the record doors to simulate a full size Victrola. Bill
