I had to ask around to find out where everyone migrated to! GOSH its nice to be back in the swing. Just FYI, I've moved to Bisbee, AZ. And, lemme tell ya, this place is DRY of phonographs. But, its sunny, and shellac dries quickly. I'll be here to act as the resident curmudgeon, comme debitude. =MicaWyatt

Nice to have you back too Wyatt. I'd been wondering where you'd got to. I hope the move went well, and you didn't scratch the finish on any of your machines in the process

Hi Wyatt, Well you are in this part of the world with just a few of us phono nuts-Did you just place an add on Craigslist looking for phon stuff? I just bought a very nice oak XVI from there but listings tend to be far and few between. I contact you if I am heading to Tucson-let me know if you get up this way. Abe Feder-need4art By the way I usually head up to the CAPS show in Aug. maybe we can hook up

Abe Feder-need4art By the way I usually head up to the CAPS show in Aug. maybe we can hook up Hey there Abe! Yes, we are down in Bisbee enjoying the high altitude climes. No, the guy in Tucson is named John, I believe. He is a nice fellow, but it seems he is more into vintage electric audio stuffs. Yes, I am planning on making an appearance at the CAPS show, should be a good opportunity to network and possibly pick up some nice stuff to work on this summer. I'm trying to find warehouse space here to work on stuff, but prices are too high. Out in Clifton there is a HUGE brick building for $30,000, but needs COMPLETE restoration. Looks like it held two dry goods stores at one time.................and its near the working copper railroad! Ahhh, dream come true, but it is out in the middle of NOWHERE! Maybe I'll learn Spanish and join border patrol or wait for Freeport-McMoran mining to start mining copper here in old Bisbee. My girl and I joked that I should start a Billy Murray museum. best Wyatt

Wyatt,
Are you still selling the gaskets for reproducers and other parts? I missed you on your return trip, or since I see your out there permanently maybe you never came back.

Yes, I'm still selling parts, and doing repairs. Not really buying machines to restore them, unless they are rare as hens teeth. Speaking of such, we might be building a chicken coop to raise our own hens for eggs! I will be heading back sometime in March, and I will probably have a Victrola with me that I will be needing to sell along the way. Details will be posted in the FOR SALE section. -Wyatt

I did the chicken route when I moved here building a very nice new coop and storage area for grain and supplies. But my father was right, chickens are very dirty animals and over time they make an incredible mess that is no fun to deal with. Then the dogs always killed them if I let them run loose which wasn't good either.. I would still like a very small portable coop I could move about, but leaving them out side is iffy at best. I don't know about your winters but dealing with frozen water fountains and shoveling snow to get to the pen is also a consideration, not to mention the cost of chicken feed.. Still its an alluring idea.
Send me a note about the gaskets with your new address and number.
