There is a very small town not far from my own home town. Although never a large community, its founders made a big effort to honor Thomas A. Edison. The name of the town is Edison, Washington. A century or more ago, the town had its own newspaper, the "Edison Phonograph". At least one copy still exists. Famous broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow went to high school in Edison, perhaps the town's greatest claim to fame. Thought some of you might find this interesting. Take care, Jerry K

Many thanks for that neat little tidbit! It never ceases to amaze me how much that man influenced the U.S. in the early part of the last century.
