Had a H-19 model in the attic for years, given as a gift from in-laws. Finally got around to doing some research on it and we're learning more each day. Serial number is SM--41163 - does that mean anything? There's another tag inside that reads #30. Also - We're not sure if it can be restored but was wondering if that affects the value of such a thing? Any insight would be helpful, we just a couple of books out of the library about disc phonographs and we're reading lots of stuff online. - mark Attachments:

Your machine is described and shown on pages 148 & 49 of "The Edison Disc Phonograph" by George L Frow. He notes the first models were produced in March of 1919 and continued until August of 1927. The long number is no doubt the serial number designating the number of machines in that series produced I believe.
You should goggle the above book as it is one of the best sources for information of Edisons Disc Phonographs.
