I tried one of my DD's on my Audio Techina turntable, and it played. I set the speed to 78, and played the disc through a pair, of TEAC powered Speakers.

Now I'm tempted to get a turntable just to annoy my loud neighbors with the joys of Mr. Edison's musical tastes, muwahaha.

Your edison should already be loud enough to be thrilling the neighbors? I tired to watch that video after you put it up but it was stoping and starting so much I couldn't make sense of it. What is the bases of his idea. I see him moving the output plugs or something around, is there a point on it about that?

Larryh, If you buy a professional turntable. Say an audio-technica, and a pair of Teac Powered speakers. You can play your DD's on a modern turntable. Wtih a 78 speed setting, and pitch adjust.
The gentelman in the video, connected his PC speakers, to his turntable's head phone output.
