I don't believe this! BA 1521, "By the light of the silvery moon" by Ada Jones and chorus, presently has a high bid of $162.50. It's amazing how certain titles are able to pull in high bids despite their commonness, and BA 1521 is certainly not a rare record! cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=110106987355Rocky

Imagine that. I just paid $16.25 for the same cylinder. I didn't need another one, but I was curious to see if the other may have been shill bid up or not so I bid on it as a joke. Either that or there were a crap load of crazy ppl bidding on a common cylinder!!!! Go figure............. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140141001072Bill

I picked up the 2 min recording of this a couple weeks back too. It cost me $34, but it is in immaculate condition, except the lid had a paper label glued on top of the original, with the title written on it. Luckily it came off with a little water, and had the original numbered label beneath it. I'll have to get the BA version oneday.

This type of bidding is as responsible as shill bidding for falsely inflating the value of an item. Rocky
