I tried bidding on ebay for "Let me call you sweetheart", and, lost. Big time! Somebody paid 75.00 for it. It's on Blue Amberol. I want this record, but, seriously! That much? Anybody got a good extra copy they want to get rid of for a reasonable price? Why this much??? Bill Cahill

Bill,
Some people will pay an exorbitant price for a well-known title on cylinder. However, neither Walter Van Brunt's nor Harry Raderman's rendition of "Let me call you sweetheart" is rare. I'm sure you'll get a chance to bid on it again.

Let me amend my last post. While Walter Van Brunt's "Let me call you sweetheart" may not be rare, you're not likely to get it on Blue Amberol for a low price. This is because the song is very well-known and the serial number is relatively high (5435). However, you should be able to get a copy on diamond disc without paying a lot.
I note that another copy of the Blue Amberol just closed this morning with a winning bid of $58.65.
