Hi there.
I have some Edison discs I'm looking to sell, but I have no idea of what to ask. Any help? I will be selling them locally, not on this board.
Thanks.

There is no set prices for records of any type. Prices vary depending on condition, content, artist etc etc. Diamond discs can be worth anything from $2 or $3, up to several hundred dollars each. The only way (IMO) to determine the true value of any record, is to list them seperately on an auction site such as ebay, with good clear well lit photos of both sides of the disc. This way they are exposed to the largest group of collectors possible, and potential buyers can see exactly what they are getting. I know this might seem like a hassle, but it really is worth the time and effort in the long run. Alternatively, you could sell them as a bulk lot, calculating the price at $5-$7 per disc, or you could offer them seperately at say $10 each, and those that dont sell could be re-offered at $5 each later on.

This is true what you are saying, there is no set price for record. I seem them sell from $2- $99.00 on eBay. I really don't know if name of record or Artist have very much impact on record., I think anyone who want to pay $99.00 on eBay, got t be out of your mind.
