I know blue amberols come in a range of blues. I have a cylinder that is a baby blue- almost gray in color. Its 3418 Good-bye, Broadway, Hello, France. Quartette. I was wondering is it normal for a amberoals blue to be this light in blue? I have never seen one so light before. Attachments:

Hi and welcome to the board! Your cylinder was made by the Indestructible Record Co. out of Albany, NY. The light blue ones were made for the Sears & Roebuck Co. under the name "Oxford." Edison's lightest BAs were a bit darker and had a different core made of plaster. How does it play? One problem I've noticed with these particular celluloid cylinders is groove shrinkage due to the natural age shrinking of the celluloid, causing the stylus to skip grooves, even with a diamond stylus.
