Rocky, I think it was better that you didn't win this. If you take a close look at the pix provided, the surface of the cylinder doesn't look all that great. It looks like it would have a lot of surface noise and perhaps hung grooves. I know this sounds like the fox & the grapes, but another will come along. I'll keep my eyes out for one at the Wayne show coming up in Oct. Bill

Again, here is another example of a record far exceeding it's true worth in normal circumstances. This record is on quite often and usually goes for considerably less than the $54.00 it's at right now. It is a great cylinder, but not THAT great! Bill

At that price, I'm never going to get that cylinder. I'll just keep looking though.

Thanks, Bill. I think I will put a notice on both boards to see if there's anyone going to the Wayne show from the Philadelphia area. Maybe I could catch a ride with someone. Speaking of "The Little Ford Rambled Right Along," take note that in the Victor rendition Billy Murray sings, "And the darned old donkey kicked like a mule, while on the Edison rendition he sings, "And the darned old jackass kicked like a mule." Shane, why not add "The Little Ford...." to your Ebay "favorite searches" so that you get an automated email whenever the record is listed. Rocky
