Was playing 2-mins. tonight, & came across this un-announced one. The information on the cylinder of all my other black wax 2-mins. is: performer (tenor, band, etc.), title, and number. This one has: number, title, then performer (Jones, in this case). The cylinder material looks a little like the wax Amberols. Was this a trial run for the 4-min. wax? (# is 110362) Thanks.

The catalog number of your record is 10362. This was released in May 1910, and by that time both 2 minute and 4 minute cylinders of Edison manufacture were being molded from the same material. The 4 minute wax cylinders were introduced in 1908.

Tony,
It was released on 2M Indestructible (#1330) May 1910, and Dec 1910 on 2M U-S Everlasting (#1074). Ada was the artist on both.
