Paul,
Belated I know but my compliments. A very nice looking machine. The finish looks very good.

Paul,
You got yourself a nice little workhorse there. Those are great sounding machines with a horn big enough to give you plenty of volume. If you need the Reproducer rebuilt, let me know and I'll do it up for you.

Hi Bill, I thought you had seen this already? I did not realize you hadn't. Actually, I had Geroge Vollema of Great Lakes Antique Phonographs, fix it. Several moths ago. Even put in a new Stylus. Said the reproducer in General was in good shape! The voulme is quite loud, but ever since I fixed my bent damper cable, I have had to keep the volume low, so as not to distrumb my neighbors. I live in a Condo BTW.
Thanks J. This machine, was well taken care of. The motor has plenty grease, and oil. The only thing mising is the casters. Apprently this model came with them, but the ones on mine were either removed, or fell off. Since the time, these photo's were taken. My Collection of DD's has increased to 30 discs, all of which play beautifuly. I have gotten better at looking to find decent Playable one's.

Since I took the photo's of my S-19, the cabinet is now full, and I have run out of room to store more. So for the time being the extra DD's ar sitting on my coffee table. I know they should not be stored flat, but I have nothing to store them in, on edge. I am amazed by the number of DD's that managed to survive in excelent condition. Even the one's that are in good condition. Finding the machines in excelent, even working condtion amazes me. Of course the machines I find are in antique malls. I have never been to a phonograph show, to see one's that people have restored. Actually I would be courious to know what percentage of machines surived without needing restoration, and which ones did?

Paul,
At the shows you get a mixture of both. Some have been restored, some not. Some have been overly or poorly restored, and you try to avoid them unless they are REAL cheap. After a while, you get to know the dealers that don't "hookie-dookie" the machines they sell and you can do allright. Get yourself some milk crates and sleeves, they store your records upright and are easier and sturdier than cardboard boxes to move them around.
