This month marks the 100th Anniversary of the introduction of the Blue Amberol cylinder in the UK in February 1913 (we are a few months behind our American friends), arguably the most successful record produced prior to the Great War. It is all credit to the genius of Edison the inventor that, 100 years on, we are still playing and enjoying his records in the 23,000 series, many thousands of which still remain in almost pristine condition.
Many Happy Returns to The Blue Amberol in Britain.

Here here! Those directly recorded 23000 series when found in good condition sound superb too.
