I have had an A100 since 1947, when just 6 years old, my aunt was throwing one out and I asked for it. She grill was holding up a window and she fetched it for me. 2 buttons missing. But the remaining ones were the same color as the grill itself. I got a grill later on e-bay with all the buttons, still the same color. It looks to me as if your machine may have been refinished. Mine never has, and is a darker mahogany color. Mine stiil works fine and with the Acme adaptor, I still play my Little Richard records on it.

The flower "buttons" on your A-100 look like replacements. I've had an A-100 since as a small boy I rescued one my Aunt was throwing out. Two buttons were missing, but the remaining two are same color as the rest of the grill. It looks to me like your unit has been refinished...it is too light in color. Mine played my Little Richard records with an Acme converter. I got an old grill from e-bay years go, and the flower buttons were also the same dark color as the grill itself.
