I need to ship a horn to China. Wife is going over there and wants to take it. Will take it on the plane but I need to break it down (it's actually 2 pieces with the end piece which is about 12" 'crimped' on to the main part of the horn) off so I can get it into a box that isn't oversized and get gouged $200 for sending it this way. Any suggestions without ruining it? Just got done refinishing it and a new paint job so want to see if anyone has a trick to get it off with no or minimal damage and be able to put it back on. THANKS!!

I assume this is an original black & brass horn? Sorry, but there is no way to disassemble it without doing severe damage. You'll have to swallow the cost for the larger container.
