Hello, My name is Wiliam Walker and I live in Riebeek Kasteel, South Africa. I inherited an "Edison Disc Phonograph" from my grandfather who was the original owner. He bought the phonograph in Cape Town. I would like to know as much as I can about it - especially the model, and I have attached some photographs of it, any information would be appreciated! Many thanks, William.

Looks like a 1-C: one of the 'New Edison' 'Long Play' models, introduced in 1926. Does it have the gear shift on the right, and the LP reproducer?

I see the gear shift now. I don't see the LP reproducer offhand, though: looks like an Edisonic, a standard DD, and a lateral adapter. The LP has a distinctive pivot arm that is offset at a slight angle.
