Very cool - hope it sells for a lot for you.
Do you have any Sousa sheet music for sale?

No, no Sousa, sorry. I do have a copy of his book "The Fifth String" in my collection, but not for sale. Luke W.

Luke, may I assume that this song was never recorded? Rocky

Rocky, Luke might send you a photo-copy, and you could record it on 2 min wax. You could send us all copies for christmas! ;D

Shane, maybe we can get Joseph C. Smith & his Orchestra to record a medley fox-trot entitled, "Won't you come over to my house?" introducing "A splinter from my sweetheart's wooden leg."

Luke, may I assume that this song was never recorded? Rocky I think we can safely assume it was never recorded commercially. The sheet music probably saw only limited regional, or even just local, distribution. Luke W.

Brought $238 FYI, to a serious black-related sheet music collector. Luke W.

$338! Wow! I'm looking over the winning bidder's recent purchases, most of which are sheet music of coon songs. Some pretty far-out sheet music cover art!

An interesting area of collecting lithographic art. I have some I bought when I lived in Sardis, Mississippi. Coon stuff is pretty rare and hard to find.
