Folks, Just picked this up for a portable that may need a new Sound-Box. It seems to be N.O.S. even though it arrived with an unused needle in the chuck. The gaskets are some sort of dense form or thick felt and still quite pliable. The tag reads: "TARG & DINNER, INC. $1.50" I do wonder about the rear though, there's not much throat, not means to fasten it and no gasket material. I haven't tested it out on anything yet, I still need to fashion a gasket. Regards, J.

It looks like it belongs on a kids machine like a Lindstrom or something. My Lindstrom soundbox was glued to the tonearm, but I made a thin rubber flange to hold it on. It looks like Targ & Dinner inc might have been a chicago music store. www.elderly.com/vintage/items/160U-360.htm

Matty,
Looks like they might have been a national music store chain or nearly one.
Regards, J.
