Hi, Some time ago I read about someone making wax cylinders for recording. I found a web site but am unable to contact the owner with the provided email address, could someone help me to get in contact?
Thanks Marcel

Paul Morris makes them in the Uk, and Shaun Borri in the US, but I think Shaun only does them in small batches occasionally. I'm not sure what Shaun's email or web addy is, but I can give you his youtube name if you want it. This is Paul's website- www.paulmorrismusic.co.uk/WaxCylinders.aspIf you get a few Marcel, let me know & I'll get some too to cut down on the postage ** I just found Shaun's site- members.tripod.com/~Edison_1/

Marcel, Please see the PM I sent you as I ordered both Paul Morris' and Shawn Borri's wax blanks in November. While both are of excellent quality, I find I get better results with original wax blanks. Perhaps this has to do with age "seasoning" the wax.

Just curious ? What is the cost of a dozen blank cylinders?

$150 to $215 US, postage included. They're not cheap, but the market for them is small.

Considering the process in how they are made I figured they would run about $20.00 each. Thanks for the info. Mike
