By the way, the information regarding birth & passing dates of Nathan Glantz is correct (& the source of the correct dates for Glantz's birth & death is taken from the book "That's Got 'em!: The Life and Music of Wilbur C. Sweatman" written by VJM (Vintage Jazz Mart for the beginners) editor Mark Berresford), while sadly there are other websites who post Glantz's birth & passing dates, such as this example: www.allmusic.com/artist/nathan-glantz-mn0002146318

Nice recordings!
The Merry Sparklers is in fact a pseudonym for the band of Nathan Glantz (08/20/1878 - ??/??/1945), as the payment cheques from the Edison Cash Books (via Richard Johnson & Bernard Shirley's book "American Dance Bands On Record & Film, 1915-1942" (the expensive but excellent expanded edition from Brian Rust's American Dance Band Discography), from where the following information will be shown) for the 10 sessions of the Merry Sparklers (from November 28 of 1923 to February 13 of 1925) were made payable to him. Glantz cut this one in the Edison Studios from Manhattan's Knickerbocker Building located between the 5th Avenue & the 16th Street (75-79 Fifth Avenue) in New York on October 24 of 1924. Featured on both sides are Hymie Farberman's snappy trumpet, Julius Berkin's trumpet & Eph(raim) Hannaford's trombone. "Where's My Sweetie Hiding?" (which is matrix 9805) was also issued on Edison Blue Amberol cylinder 4941. "My Road" (which is matrix 9806) was also recorded by Paul Whiteman's Orchestra for Victor on September 15 of 1924.
Thanks for those wonderful recordings!
