I am in need of help with My Edison C 150 Trying to figure out The Proper original bed plate for the Edison DD Player, My Friends argument is its brown I say its black Please help Please settle this silly dispute Thanks

I think I've only seen them in black, but the very early examples may have had brown. I guess if the serial number is extremely low a brown one might be suitable. Depending on the style of the data plate, it may have had a black bedplate with gold decals & pin stripes though. I've seen many of the range of models introduced in 1915, that have a black aluminium data plate, use these fancy black bedplates, but I've never seen a DD with a brass/gold data plate have anything but a plain black bedplate.

Gramoshane is right - - the C-150 should have a black bedplate with gold stripes. The confusion may lie in that the A-150 and B-150 had brown bedplates. The C-150 didn't appear until 1915, so black is the correct color.

Thank You so Much I appreciate the time I have the Mohognany case and its a c 150 I also have looked at pics wich conferms that you guys are so right Thanks so much for all the help
