Maybe he works for Ticketmaster. Have you bought a ticket lately? Their charges and miscellaneous fees are way over the top!

Item location is Taking care of stray pets. They must have got a few extra tom cats this week, and need to cover the cost of cat food! It can be very annouying. I recently bid and won a 12" album full of discs. Postage was $35. Usually it's $20. I thought fair enough- probably the extra will be due to lots of packing and big box. Great! No way. This album arrives in 2 plastic bags taped around it, absolutely no packing- not even wrapped in paper- with just under $14 worth of stamps on it. How it arrived with every record still intact, I really dont know. And $21 for 2 plastic bags and 5 foot of sticky tape is a bit over the top. I was very tempted to leave Neg feed back, but settled for a neutral with 1 star for postage costs.

Shane, when it comes to postage, I'm sure you don't have it easy. Most of your Ebay wins are probably from the States, and postage to Oz is nothing to sneer at.

Rocky, Actually to get stuff from there is not to bad at all- though the recent price rise you had has made it more expensive. It was pretty much the same to get stuff from there, as it is to get stuff from within Australia. I just checked the listing for the album too. $35 postage was also supposed to be for the item to be registered- but that didn't happen. It was sent regular. If I had realised that before I left feed back, I would have told her the item didn't arrive & request a refund. Maybe she would have thought twice about charging high fees for services she doesn't use.

I think some sellers try to make up for what they thought the records are worth when they don't sell for that amount. I always ask now when postage isn't viewable as I've gotten some nasty "surprises" when the seller gives me the shipping quote after the auction closes.

Gents, Did anyone notice also that he won't "list the cracked ones, but if you want them you can have them for free, just pay the shipping" WOW! I think he's beeen inhaling the fumes from the cat litter ;D Regards, J.

At any rate, I have that Blue Amberol - "Row row row" by Collins & Harlan. It's a delightful recording and I recommend it to all--the next time it shows up on Ebay!
