I just bid on that! Are these rare, and should I expect it to go for some outragious price. I've never heard of a 2 min blue before and don't like my chances of ever finding one in oz.

These are are rare, I have seen them sell on eBay for around $40 to $150. The box is extremely hard to find. Mine is excellent and is loud and plays better with a diamond B than a model O. With the model O it has a lot more surface noise than a regular wax record. The later wax amberol wax 2 minute records sound wonderful in Excellent condition, but when they get worn they have a lot of surface noise. The US Phonograph Co of Cleveland has the best surface for low noise. This one does not look like it is in very good shape, but would be a good record to get.
The only other 2 minute blue amberols I know of are the ICS language records.

I think it was a good price too! It arrived about a week ago, and wasn't in as bad condition as I thought it was going to be. It has a few small cracks around the base, but are all well away from the playing area, and only has a couple clicks towards the end of the cylinder. It actually sounds quite loud and clear! It's a shame edison didn't put more music out on blue celluloid in the 2 minute format.. Does anyone know what the boxes looked like for these records? Any chance of a pic Steve? ;D Where they the same as a normal BA with the only difference being the number on the lid- in this case 2M-1262.
