I have a Pathe phonograph/gramophone in working condition. It has variable speed, a large acoustical speaker and shelving for records built into the cabinet. Model XVII Serial No.: 12941 Size 22" x 22" x 48" high The crank and spring work fine. Sound quality is OK but very loud and a little tinny. I tried adjusting the volume but didn't notice an appreciable difference. Maybe I'm not using that correctly. Tone arm has a screw to loosen so the reproducer can be adjusted to either vertical or lateral cut records. For whatever reason, the reproducer seems to be stuck in place to play lateral cut records. I don't know what's causing it to stick and didn't want to force it. I would love to keep it but I'm moving soon and after some deliberation decided I couldn't fit it in the new place. Can anyone tell me an approximate value for this? Any offers? It would have to be a pick up in Brooklyn NY in April. Attachments:

That model has some very nice lines, however I can't give you a value on it. I notice you also have it on Craigslist for $100.00 and I think that is quite reasonable. Your soundbox may not be turning due to swelling of the potmetal arm and you were prudent in not forcing it as it could fracture. The tinny sound more than likely means the gaskets in the soundbox need to be replaced but if you are not familiar with taking these down, I'd leave it for the new owner. Best of luck in selling it!
