I just got the remains of an A-80 with a serial number of 953 and I was wondering what the motor sat on in the case. There are prints in the wood but I don't know if the pieces were of wood or of metal. The prints correspond to the motor mounting bosses but are not shaped like them. Someone had put in a piece of wood to raise the motor but it was still too low for the belt to properly align. Any ideas?

Still working on the A-80 and things are different on from a B-80. I sent the crank back that I ordered for it as it was too short and the motor mount was a little different going by prints on the wood bottom of the case but it seems to work okay. Replaced missing ball bearings on the motor output shaft and on the turntable and it all seems to work. Next will be the little square horn. . .
